Rosa Zeidan

Rosa Zeidan is a visual artist based in Athens. She studied in the visual arts department of Athens School of Fine Arts: Painting with G. Charvalias, M. Manousakis and G. Kazazis; Photography with P. Kokkinias; Mosaic with D. Aggelidou, Engraving and Printing with A.Peirounidi and V. Tsalamata and Drawing for Sculptors with A. Verveti. She graduated with Honors in 2021. In the past she studied Law in Greece (LLB) and Germany (LLM) and worked as a lawyer until 2014.

Her artworks have been exhibited in two solo shows (ASFA 2021, Wyndham 2022) and numerous group shows and festivals in Greece and abroad. A few highlights include: In 2018 she won the open call contest and took part in the exhibition of “One Minute Athens” in Benaki Museum. In 2019 she won the ASFA contest and represented Athens School of Fine Arts at the 2. International Festival of Fine Arts and Design Schools (FISAD – “Building a New World”) in Tyrin, Italy. In July 2019 her work was on the cover and featured in the magazine “Echo of Auctions”. In 2020 her work was selected and shortlisted for Ethniki Asfalistiki and was exhibited in the Gallery StoArt Korai. She presented her work in the Platforms Project NET 2021 and 2021 and in 2022 at the “Graduates Show” in Asfa. In 2023 “Needlepoint”, Engraving Center Thessaloniki, “STIGMA” at Dromokaiteio PHA 2023. She participated in the ”Meet the Artists” project at Submarine Studio, 2024. Upcoming in 2024: “En route”, Belgrade City Museum, Serbia, Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair- Artshot Gallery, “Naturalis”, Goulandris Natural History Museum, Kifissia.

Her artworks are held in private and public collections in Greece and abroad (Benaki Museum, Equity Fund of Civil Servants).

Time, space, memory, identity and trauma are the key ideas and notions she explores in her work.
